Why keep an interview question journal?

Interview questions are easy to forget once the day is over. Writing them down straight after each interview in Rincon gives you three things: a record of what employers in your field really ask, an honest look at which answers worked, and material to prepare for the next round.

What to write down

  • The question, word for word if you can — follow-up questions too.
  • What you answered, in a few lines. If you know what you should have said, write that instead.
  • How hard it felt (1–5). The journal's average is simply the mean of your own ratings.
  • The outcome once you hear back, so you can compare interviews that went forward with those that didn't.

Question types

The journal suggests a type from the wording (for example, “tell me about a time…” is behavioural); you can change it. The “What you are asked most” panel just counts your own questions by type — nothing is estimated. For behavioural questions, use the STAR method; practise in Behavioural (STAR) mastery.

Who can see my journal?

Only you. Entries are saved to your own Expertini account (and appear in the Expertini app); they are never shown to employers.

What does the AI debrief do?

It reads only the questions, answers and notes you logged for one interview, then lists what went well, what to improve, likely questions for the next round and a draft follow-up email. It is told not to invent anything that is not in your log — always read it before sending the email. Each debrief uses one AI request from your plan and is saved with the interview.

I used the old journal on this browser. Is my data lost?

No. When you sign in on the same browser, the page offers to move the old entries into your account.
